Refund Policy

  • Our goal is to make your buying experience as simple and hassle free as possible. In the event that you did not receive what you ordered at OCB, we will immediately send out the correct item ordered, otherwise, all sales are final.
  • OCB verifies your order is in stock prior to charging your account. In the event that you don't receive your order within 30 days and we are out of stock and unable to fulfill your order you will receive a full refund. All orders have tracking numbers that the customer is provided with.
  • Please contact department for all customer service issues.

"Ship to" Delivery options for each item for multiple locations is great for giving gifts.

Order Status

If your order is missing or delayed, please contact within two weeks of your order's estimated delivery time. Be sure to include your shipping confirmation number or your order number along with your contact information.

Your Shopping Cart

  • You should sign in before adding items to your shopping cart. Items will remain in your cart until you remove them or complete your purchase. Putting items into your shopping cart does not 'hold' them or remove them from inventory.
  • To change the quantity of an item, change the "Buy" number and click "Update Cart."
  • If your shopping cart contains books that you wish to purchase, we do not recommend leaving our site until you have checked out. Our stock is limited, and titles may sell out before you complete your purchase. Book prices are also subject to change.

Minimum Orders

We do not have a minimum order.

Receipts

We include a receipt in standard packages of books. We do not do include a receipt when the order is a Drop-Ship, but a packing slip is included to verify contents.

Back Orders

We are able to order only certain titles from publishers and will be noted. All other titles once sold out will be indefinitely out of stock.

Holds

Because of our ever-changing selection of books, we are unable to "hold" books on promise of payment.

Accessing Your Account

You can access your account to view your past orders, your profile information, your shopping cart and more. Your e-mail address and password is your Overstock ChristianBooks.com sign in. If you registered with a different e-mail address, or it is misspelled, you will not be able to access your account. Please contact to correct or change your profile information.

Order Processing

  • Select the items you wish to purchase, and place them in your shopping cart.
  • Check out using our secure server.
  • You will be sent an e-mail confirmation of your order, including titles ordered and total price.
  • The order is picked and packaged at our warehouse.
  • A final shipping confirmation e-mail is sent to you, detailing the items shipped and the cost. If an item is not available it will not be back ordered.
  • Your credit card is charged for the total amount shown on your shipping confirmation.
  • The books leave the warehouse, and are shipped via the method you selected.

Privacy Policy

Personal Information

A number of forms exist on our site (such as a registration form) that asks you for personal information. The following list explains why we require this data:

  • We need a name and a billing/shipping address so we can send your purchase statement and purchase to the address of your choice.
  • We require your e-mail address for communicating with you, questions and comments about your order. Your e-mail address is also the username for your account.
  • We request a phone number as a means of contacting you in case your e-mail address is misspelled in the registration information.

We respect your privacy and only request information necessary for providing good Customer Service. If we are missing any registration information, we cannot serve you as efficiently as preferred.

We receive your personal data through a secure, encrypted area which cannot be reached by outsiders. Your information is stored in a protected database that only our company can access.

  • When you place an order, the bank will authorize the total amount to be charged on your credit card. However, your credit card is not charged until your order is ready for shipment. Any adjustments on the price of your order will be made at this time. The final cost of your purchase will never exceed the amount initially authorized by you and your bank.

US Customers

When an order is placed with a US shipping address:
All orders are sent via the US Postal Service from Shelbyville, KY (near Louisville, Kentucky) centrally located in the United States to minimize delivery time.

US Shipping Methods

Please note that the USPS makes deliveries Monday thru Saturday excluding holidays. All orders are shipped within 1 business day of receipt of an order in most cases.

Standard Shipping (USPS Media Mail)
  • This is our standard shipping method. It is the most popular and least expensive. In North America, books are sent via "Media Mail."
  • Standard Shipping takes 4-14 days business days in the United States with the exception of Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, which can take up to 30 days.
  • Rates vary depending on destination and weight of order.
Priority Shipping (USPS Priority Mail)
  • Priority Shipping takes 3 to 5 business days in the United States.
  • Rates vary depending on destination and weight of order.

Overseas/International Customers

Customers outside of United States must fill out the customer registration and address fields as follows:

  • For the "State/Province" field, please leave it blank.
  • Enter the state/province information as part of the "City."
  • Select the right country from the "Country" field pull-down menu.

If your country charges a VAT (Value-Added Tax), you may be assessed that tax at your country's Customs Agency. You may be responsible to pay this charge before you receive your delivery.

Mail Standard Shipping

Typically one to two weeks for shipments into Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Two to six week delivery time for other locations.

Typically one week or less for Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Two to six week delivery time for other locations.

Shipping and Handling Charges

Shipping rates are calculated in advance, based on the size and weight of your order plus a minimal handling charge that covers the cost of processing your order.

Our shipping charges include:

  • Actual shipping charge based of total weight of order
  • Packaging Materials
  • Labor Cost
  • Customer Service Time

Anytime during your shopping experience at Overstock Christian Books, you can view your shipping charges by simply entering your zip code on the “always on” shopping cart before finalizing your purchase. This will give you a running total as you shop.

At Overstock Christian Books, we will always strive to keep all shipping charges "at cost."

Drop-Ship Option

Drop-Ship orders are sent without any pricing or “Overstock Christian Books information”. It is an excellent option for gift-giving or for resellers sending orders to their customers. To choose the Drop-Ship option:

  • Click the Drop-Ship option when you check out.
  • Change the "Ship To:" address to the drop ship location.
  • Click "Update New Shipping Info."

An invoice will be e-mailed to you with the full purchase price and order details.

Order Tracking

Many customer questions involve the status of orders. When did it ship, how can you track it, and when will it arrive? Sometimes we can't control the process. Once a shipment is in the hands of the delivery company, we have to rely on their schedules. We can offer you more visibility into the shipping process through our order status tracking.

What the order tracking can do:

  • Let you see the progress of your order, if it's shipped and when
  • Provide a tracking number (if available) and access to the shipping company's web site
  • Allow you to follow the order's progress to your address
  • Let you know when it arrived, and who signed for it, if a signature was required

What the order tracking can't do:

  • Allow you to change shipping methods or speed up the process once it's in the carrier's hands
  • Provide tracking for all packages, as some carriers or shipping methods don't include tracking information
  • Tell you exactly when the package will arrive, as all companies ship on their own schedule, based on their daily parcel volume
  • Track older orders. Tracking info is often archived by shipping companies to speed up the tracking process

To track an order:

  • Log into your 'Past Orders' screen with your user name and password.
  • Each past order is displayed, most recent on top. Click on the 'order status' link on the right of each order.
  • If your order has shipped, via a carrier which provides tracking, the tracking details will appear here, or you'll be given a link to the carrier's web site for more information.

Please note that most orders will require 24 hours after they leave the warehouse for a tracking number to be assigned to them. If you have more questions about shipping, please contact us at Customer Service.
